ORTHODONTICS

What are Dental Braces?

Dental braces are devices used in orthodontics that align and straighten teeth and help position them with regard to a person's bite, while also aiming to improve dental health. Braces also fix gaps. They are often used to correct underbites, as well as malocclusions, overbites, open bites, deep bites, cross bites, crooked teeth, and various other flaws of the teeth and jaw.

TYPE OF BRACES

METAL BRACES
Metal braces are made of high quality stainless steel or titanium and is most common type of braces. These braces  have a metal bracket with elastic (rubber band) ties holding the wire onto the metal brackets. The second-most common type of braces are self-ligating braces that do not require elastic ties. Instead, the wire goes through the bracket.

ALIGNERS

Teeth aligners are created from molds or digital scans of your teeth. These molds are used to create a series of clear plastic mouthpieces that put gentle pressure on your teeth and gradually move them into proper dental alignment, according to the American Association of Orthodontists. You will wear each set of mouthpieces for 1-2 weeks before switching to a new set that will move your teeth to slightly different positions.
Invisible teeth aligners can straighten teeth and lead to a healthy smile as long as you wear them as prescribed.

SAPPHIRE CLEAR BRACES

Sapphire clear braces are a new high tech crystal-clear braces that serve the ultimate cosmetic alternative to unsightly metal brace for correcting misalignment or uneven tooth positioning. They're made from pure sapphire, a material second only to diamonds for hardness, clarity, and brilliance. Radiance braces are crystal clear and virtually disappear on your teeth offering you the aesthetics of a translucent jewel while ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability that your orthodontist demands.
